Itinerary:

Day 1: Marrakech – Tizi N Tichka – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Ouarzazate

We drive through the captivating High Atlas mountains, taking in the stunning views along the way. A stop is made at the Kasbah of Telouat before continuing to the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site seen in various movies and TV shows. Finally, we reach Ouarzazate, known as “The gate of the desert,” where we enjoy dinner and spend the night in a hotel.

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Amridil Kasbah – Rose valley -Dades Valley

our exploration of Ouarzazate begins. We visit the Atlas studios, known for their role in famous movies, and the impressive Taourirt Kasbah, a historic mud castle. Moving east, we reach Skoura to admire the picturesque Amridil Kasbah surrounded by lush palm groves.

Our journey continues to Kalaa Magouna, renowned for its Rose Valley and the annual Rose Festival in May. Here, locals showcase a variety of rose products, including perfumes, rose water, and oils.

We then proceed to Dades Valley, passing through Boumalne Dades, where we make stops to marvel at the unique rock formations known as “monkey fingers” and enjoy panoramic views of the valley.

Day 3: Dades Gorges –Erfoud - Merzouga Sahara

our journey takes us to the stunning Todra Gorges, where the Todra River has carved a magnificent canyon with high red cliff walls. Take your time to explore the gorges and admire the breathtaking landscape. We then drive through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad, with a lunch break along the way. In the afternoon, we arrive at the Merzouga Sahara desert, where you’ll switch to camels and ride across the sandy dunes.

Pause to witness the enchanting sunset from atop a high dune before continuing to the luxury desert camp. Experience the mesmerizing Berber drums music and dance around the campfire under the vast, starry sky. 

Day 4: Explore Merzouga – Nomads – Khamlia

You’ll then return on camels to Merzouga, where your driver awaits. The day is dedicated to exploring the remarkable region of Merzouga, which offers a wealth of incredible sights and activities.

Begin by driving off-road to visit an ancient eyeliner mine, followed by a visit to the nomads in their traditional woven tents, where you can learn about their way of life. Next, head to Khamlia village to experience the vibrant Gnaoua music and dance performances.

The village is home to inhabitants from sub-Saharan countries like Mali, Sudan, and Niger. Enjoy free time for lunch at a local restaurant before taking a stroll through a palm tree grove. Finally, drive a short distance to admire the wild lake of Merzouga, also known as the flamingos lake.

Day 5: Merzouga – Erfoud – Midelt – Ifrane – Fes

on the finally day mesmerizing sunrise in the desert then return on camels to Merzouga, where your driver will be waiting for you.

Leave the desert behind and visit Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalet and a bustling trading center with a lively souk. Continue to Erfoud, where you can explore one of the workshops of fossilized marble. Drive along the scenic Ziz river, stopping for a panoramic view of the stunning Ziz valley.

Take a break for lunch in Midelt. Next, visit the cedar forest, home to Barbary Macaques. Feed and interact with them as you wander through the forest. Afterward, explore Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco” due to its low temperature, snow, and alpine style houses. Finally, you’ll be dropped off at the airport or your accommodation in Fes.
