First, we’ll walk through the charming Old Town, which has many beautiful blue doors and white-painted walls. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon you can walk to the Spanish Mosque. It is located on high ground, from where you can see the wonderful view of the entire Blue City.
After breakfast, feel free to wander through the alleys of the beautiful blue city of Chefchaouen. Then we head to visit the ancient Roman ruins in Volubilis. It is so well preserved that it has been recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
It has many beautiful mosaics scattered here and there, in addition to ancient columns and arches. After walking among the ruins, we drive 30 kilometers to visit Meknes, the capital of Ismailia and one of the imperial cities. We visit Bab al-Mansour, the basin of the Suani Cistern, the royal stables, the granary, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Then we head to Fes. Overnight in Riyadh.
We devote the sixth day of our 13-day tour around Morocco to exploring the highlights of Fes. The city is considered one of the imperial cities in addition to being the cultural and religious center of Morocco.
First, we start the day by visiting the Royal Palace Gate. Then the well-preserved medieval Old Town, which is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. You will visit the Blue Gate or Bab Boujloud, the entrance to the old city. Which looks like a maze of alleys and streets. You will enter the city to visit the Bou Inania School, the Najjarine Fountain, and the tanneries.
Finally, the Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque and University, the oldest university in the world. After that, they left Medina and the Jewish neighborhoods also appeared, called “Al-Mallah”. In the afternoon, we head by bus to the Old Medina for a panoramic view of the Medina and the Medina of Fes. Finally, return to your riad.
After breakfast, we continue our 13-day tour around Morocco south via Imouzzer to visit Ifrane. The city is known for its low temperatures, snow and houses with Alpine-style architecture. No wonder it is called the Switzerland of Morocco.

In the afternoon, we reach the Merzouga desert where we move to the camels. Then cross the sandy desert, stopping at the top of a high sand dune to enjoy the sunset. Finally, continue on to the desert camp. It is a combination of traditional Bedouin tents and the luxury of a hotel. Where you can enjoy Berber drum music, while dancing around a campfire, under a wide-open sky of stars. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Waking up early in the morning is a must, in order to admire the beautiful sunrise, in the middle of the desert. Free time to eat breakfast. Then return on the camel to Merzouga where the driver will wait for you. We dedicate the eighth day of your 13-day tour around Morocco to exploring the Merzouga region. The area has many stunning sites, from sand dunes, wild lakes, mines and fossil areas to picturesque oases. They are ideal places for many outdoor activities.
First we start our trip in Merzouga, driving off-road to visit an old Kahl mine. Then we visit the Bedouins in their hand-woven tent. Learn how they live while drinking Berber tea. Our next destination is the village of Khamliya, where you will enjoy Gnawa music. And dance performances for its residents coming from sub-Saharan countries such as Mali, Sudan and Niger.
Free time for lunch in a restaurant. After that we take a tour of the palm grove. Then drive a few kilometers to see the Merzouga Wild Lake, also called the Flamingo Lake. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
In the morning, we leave the desert to visit the city of Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalet. Rissani remains a major commercial center in the region, with a large market.
After a stroll through the Rissani market, we continue on our way to Erfoud where we visit one of the petrified marble workshops. Then we drive through Torque and Tanjadad palm groves to reach the Todra Gorge. The Todra River has formed a large, high red valley on the side of a rocky slope through the mountains. These valleys are an ideal place for rock climbers. Feel free to wander through the valleys and enjoy the beauty of the landscape.
Free time for lunch in a restaurant. Then we continue our way to Dades Valley via Boumalne Dades. Definite stops at the “Monkey Fingers” rock formation, and for the view of the Dades Valley. Finally, dinner and overnight at the hotel.
We continue our journey to Kelaat M’Gouna to visit the Valley of Roses. The Rose Festival is held annually in May. Where local residents offer their rose products, from perfumes, rose water, oil, to cosmetics. We then move through the palm groves of Skoura, before arriving in Ouarzazate, where we visit the studios where famous films were filmed.
We go to visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. The fortified village is recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The Kasbah also appeared in many films, including: Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy…etc. and TV series including Game of Thrones. We then continue to Marrakech by driving through the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass and the High Atlas Mountains. Will stop for lunch and take pictures at interesting places. Overnight on the road, Marrakech.
After a warm breakfast, we will explore the highlights of Marrakech with a local guide. The city is considered one of the four imperial cities in Morocco. The visit includes: Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, Ben Youssef Quran Mosque. And a stroll through the largest traditional market in Morocco. Free time to have lunch near Jemaa El Fna Square. After that, you will visit the largest Koutoubia Mosque in Marrakech, and the Majorelle Garden. Finally, go to your accommodation. Feel free to tour Jemaa el Fna on your own.
