Today’s journey takes us from Fes to Meknes, where we embark on a guided tour of this historic city. We begin at the magnificent Bab Mansour, an ornamental gate that serves as the entrance to the imperial city. Our tour continues with a visit to the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, a small yet impressive site.

We pass by the entrance of the Meknes Royal Palace and conclude our exploration at the massive Heri es Souani, once a stable and granary for thousands of horses. After a delicious lunch, we proceed to the remarkable Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its exceptional preservation.

With a certified local guide, we delve into the fascinating history of the Roman Empire, marveling at the well-preserved bathhouses, mosaic floors, and towering marble pillars. We’ll then visit the mausoleum of Mohamed V, a magnificent structure built by King Hassan II in honor of his father, Mohamed V, who played a crucial role in the country’s independence.

we’ll explore the Oudaya Kasbah, a 12th-century fortress that forms a peaceful neighborhood. The winding alleyways are adorned with white and blue, reminiscent of Andalusian architecture in Spain. The fortress overlooks calm waters, and its main gate features a traditional Moorish arch surrounded by geometric designs. The tower of the fortress stands tall, commanding a prominent position in the city’s skyline.

After breakfast, we drive from Rabat to Casablanca for a sightseeing tour including the impressive Hassan II Mosque, opened in 1993, second in size after the Grand Mosque in Mecca. It can accommodate 25,000 worshippers and is one of the only religious sites open to non-Muslims on the beautiful Corniche beach. Take a moment to catch your breath and enjoy the tranquility of the Atlantic Ocean.

Continue on a short drive through Casablanca’s residential areas to the city center to visit Mohammed V Square, the Habous district and the Notre-Dame de Lourdes Cathedral. After lunch, we will head towards Marrakech to spend the night and dinner in the riad or hotel.

After breakfast, you will be taken by a local tour guide to explore the city of Marrakech. You’ll visit key historical landmarks including: the magnificent Bahia Palace built in the 19th century, the Saadian Tombs, a 17th-century royal necropolis, the Qur’anic Madrasa of Ben Youssef, and the Koutoubia Mosque built in the 12th century. You will also visit the famous markets; A great place to shop where you can buy gifts for your family, friends or yourselves.

Relax in the Majorelle Gardens, a peaceful space in the New Town where exotic botanical plants are brought from all over the world. You’ll end your tour in the main square of Levna Mosque with storytellers, snake charmers, musicians, acrobats and outdoor food stalls.

You will also have free time to enjoy a soft drink in one of the cafés where you can enjoy amazing panoramic views across the square. Spend the rest of the day at leisure and overnight in the riad or hotel.

After breakfast, we leave Marrakech and drive through the magnificent Atlas Mountains that offer dazzling landscapes in the heart of the Atlas Mountain range to Ouarzazate where many famous films were filmed such as Alexander the Great, The Mummy, Jewel of the Nile and Kingdom of Heaven. Etc…the scene is absolutely amazing.

We stop to visit Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, one of the most magnificent castles in southern Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will have lunch in Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa”, before continuing the journey to the Valley of Roses, known for its annual festival during the rose-picking season in May. Spend the night with dinner in Dades Valley.

After breakfast, we start our day by heading towards the Todra Gorge where many rock climbers come to enjoy their favorite sport. We continue our journey later, following ancient Bedouin trade routes parallel to the Middle Atlas, passing a series of fortified villages with distinctive architecture. The road to Erfoud is one of the most satisfactory of all the southern roads.

The city is located in a dry, red desert area and was built by the French as a city for central administration. It is known for its rich black fossil marble.

The stone is carved to highlight fossils in everything from ashtrays to wash basins and more. We head to the stunning dunes of Merzouga where the dunes mark the beginning of the great Sahara Desert. We leave our car and ride camels through the desert to the Berber camp.

For this to be an experience of a lifetime, why not surf the waves in the Sahara Desert and try sand dune bashing! After dinner we gather around the fire and enjoy the desert night, perhaps with traditional Berber drums.

After a stunning sunrise and breakfast at camp, you will leave the desert by camel to Merzouga to venture into the Atlas Mountains heading to a different part of Morocco. We pass through the green oasis and the magnificent Ziz Fjords carved into volcanic rock and through the Tizi-Netelghamt pass to Midelt, passing millions of palm trees and fortified villages characterized by magnificent southern architecture.

We stopped for lunch in the small town of Midelt, a sleepy village surrounded by the green beauty of the Middle Atlas Mountains and bursting with colorful minerals that stain the mountainside in ruby blaze.

Continue through the Middle Atlas mountain range, its large forests of cedar trees, terraced farms and the mud-brick villages of Siena, past the charming ski resort ovens of Azrou and Azrou, an important handicraft center specializing in cedar woodworking. We arrive in the imperial city of Fes to spend the night with dinner in the riad or hotel.
