you will start exploring Marrakech ; “The Red City of Morocco.” You will visit sites of historical and cultural importance, including the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace and the main square of our university.
After that you will have free time to have lunch at a local restaurant near the square. After lunch, you will have the option to wander through the markets and see hundreds of handicrafts.
Marrakech is nicknamed the “Red City” because of its ancient walls and buildings made of red sandstone. It has Berber, not Arab, roots and was an important commercial capital for the tribes of the Atlas Mountains. Head towards Marrakech ‘s bustling Jemaa El Fna Square: the souks to the north, the Koutoubia Mosque and its gardens to the west, and the Kasbah area with its Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, and El Badi Palace to the south. In the new city you will find the Majorelle Gardens.
The tour departs in front of the hotel or riad. Via the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass (2260m) in the High Atlas Mountains. You will enjoy the winding road, beautiful landscapes in different colors and Berber villages along the way.
The first stop will be in the village of Ait Barka. It will be around 10:00 AM to take beautiful pictures. Relax in the car and have breakfast if you wish. It is the starting point of the highest Atlas Mountains in Morocco, Tizi n Tichka. The second pause will be made at the top of TICHKA.
Arriving in Ait Ben Haddou! UNESCO has classified it as one of the first world heritage sites. Here you will be guided by a local guide to explain the history of this amazing heritage of Ait Ben Haddou. Then you will have free time for lunch and it will be about one hour.
It will continue through Ouarzazate, the Rose Valley and the Skoura palm grove to the Dades Valley and its valleys. The first night will be in a typical Moroccan hotel located in the heart of the Dades Gorge in southern Morocco.
Take the Route 1000 Kasbahs wandering around the colorful Berber villages of the Dades Valley. After 45 km you will reach Tinghir. It is famous for its beautiful palm groves and the Jewish quarter.
Upon arrival at Todra Gorge (Todga), there is free time to go trekking along the canyons about 300 meters high. It is a favorite place for mountaineers. You will then depart for the Erg Chebbi dunes in the Merzouga Desert. Then there is free time for lunch on the way before arriving in Erfoud.
Once you reach the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, you will ride camels at sunset to reach the camp. Spend the night in a Berber camp in the Merzouga desert dunes under Bedouin tents or outside under the meteors. Playing drums with camel drivers. Dinner and overnight in Merzouga desert camp. It is recommended to bring a backpack with you to carry it on the camels because you cannot carry all your luggage on the camels.
Take pictures of the sunrise over the desert dunes, which is undoubtedly one of the best and most beautiful moments in the Merzouga Desert. Then back to camp for a wonderful Berber breakfast.
Then you will ride a camel back to the village to board the car and continue the tour to Fes. While on the way to Fes, you will pass the beautiful Ziz Valley, Errachidia and Midelt to the Cedar Forest where we will stop to visit the famous wild monkeys. We continue our desert journey through the Middle Atlas until arriving in Fes in the evening.
After having breakfast in your riad, you will start exploring the oldest medina in Morocco, walking through its alleys and small streets. Our visit begins with a visit to the Royal Palace Gate, the Jewish Quarter, the first mellah built in Morocco, built during the 14th century.
We will ensure you visit all the sites of cultural and historical importance including the famous University of Al-Qarawiyyin, the oldest university in the world, the tanneries and the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss. After lunch, you will visit the tiles cooperative and then enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the entire city of Fes. Overnight in the same riad.
Early in the morning, we head to Chefchaouen, passing through the Rif Mountains to enjoy the magical mountain views until we reach Chefchaouen, one of the picturesque villages in the foothills of the Rif Mountains. In addition to the Spanish-style Medina.
You will have time all evening to visit the Blue City. It is a city located in the Rif Mountains in northwestern Morocco. It is famous for the magnificent buildings of different pale blue colors in its old city. Leather and textile workshops line its steep cobblestone alleys. After breakfast in Chefchaouen, we will drive for a few hours to the capital of Morocco, Rabat. Where you will visit Bab Chellah, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, the famous Hassan Tower, and the Kasbah of the Udayas. Head to the largest city in Morocco, Casablanca. If you still have time you will visit the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca. If you don’t have time you can visit it the next day before being transferred to the airport.
